(Also, he mentioned Zeus Is Dead, so my suggestion that the publisher dip the entire book in superglue paid off.) It is therefore incumbent upon me to carry on with my own list. Finally, I’m back to blogging about Farscape! Based on my memory of it the first time it aired, I wasn’t looking forward to this one. I only saw it the one time, going so far as to skip it when showing the series to others. I know, I’m a bad man. Maybe that’s why it took me so long to get to it. Last Friday marked the final day of my first ever book tour—the online tour for the release of Zeus Is Dead. It lasted July 21st to August 15th, and by all accounts was a success. Okay, so I haven’t caught up with Fifty Shades of Twilight Fanfic yet, but if I may quote our tall friend from Twin Peaks…

The secret algorithm has decided that it’s again time for another geek-related Top 5 List! (Said secret algorithm is totally a mathematical model run on a Cray supercomputer and is in no way just a fancy metaphor for my own personal whims.) With all the work I’ve had to do amid the launch of Zeus Is Dead, it feels like it’s been months since I’ve been able to get any real work done on writing my current work-in-progress, the third and final installment of my sci-fi series The New Aeneid Cycle, tentatively titled A Dragon at the Gate. Yet this weekend I’m finally plunging back into it.
My first step: reacquaint myself with the characters and what I’ve written so far. I’m in the midst of re-reading the eleven chapters I’ve written thus far, and as I read Chapter Four it occurred to me that I could share an excerpt with all of you. [Read more…]
Zeus Is Dead: A Monstrously Inconvenient Adventure, written by a geek for geeks, took a trip (without me!) to the Star Trek Las Vegas convention last weekend. I present to you conclusive proof that the novel is accepted by geeks throughout the Alpha Quadrant:

There aren’t very many humorous fantasy murder mysteries out there, especially not as intricately constructed as this one. Michael G. Munz takes a ‘What if,’ and runs with it like a toddler with Mom’s smart phone. The guffaw-worthy throwaway bits will remind you of Douglas Adams. A very enjoyable read.”
