Time flies. It’s been over a month since I posted my “first impressions” review of Dragon Age Inquisition, and I’m still playing it! Granted, I haven’t been playing it non-stop. Work, writing, blogging, reading, sleep, and the necessity of interacting with other human beings have to get some time, too. Yet I’ve logged over 80 hours with my human archer (ROGUE) known as Hobbes, so it’s time to say how the game holds up after my initial look. [Read more…]

Michael Reads Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters – Ch 3
Hailing taxis of eternal torment, or even temporary torment, sounds like a bad idea to me. But I shouldn’t be so judgmental. So, on we go with the third chapter of Michael Reads Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters…
We Hail the Taxi of Eternal Torment
Okay, so this was actually a pretty quick chapter. We (i.e., me, but I like to imagine we’re all in this together) get a quick bit of rudeness from Annabeth, a wild taxi ride courtesy of the mythical Grey Sisters, and faster than you can say “don’t touch that eye, you don’t know where it’s been,” we’re back at Camp Halfblood.
And it’s under attack. [Read more…]
Michael Reads Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters (Ch 2)
Doesn’t this kind of stuff just always happen on the last day of school? Yearbooks, tests, and burning down the gym. Ahh, memories. What am I talking about? The second installment of Michael Reads Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters, of course!
I Play Dodgeball with Cannibals

Okay, now that that guy is gone, well, here we go! [Read more…]
Michael Reads Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters (Ch 1)
Prophetic dreams, mysterious figures on fire escapes, and sleeping with a sword-pen under your pillow. It must be time for the first chapter installment of Michael Reads Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters! In other words…
My Best Friend Shops for a Wedding Dress
So I’m back with some time to do another Percy Jackson blog (I’ve been dealing with some other exciting news this week, plus the usual holiday life-rush)! I’m excited to plunge in, so let’s get to it. [Read more…]
A Shadow in the Flames: Now re-published and in paperback!
If I may quote Professor Farnesworth: “Good news, everyone!” This will be getting a little more press in the new year, but I’m excited and I wanted to share it with everyone: Booktrope (my publisher) has just officially re-published my first sci-fi novel (and my first novel, period), A Shadow in the Flames! [Read more…]
Michael Reads Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters – Starting Point
So having finished (and, of course, enjoyed) Rick Riordan’s The Lightning Thief, I’m ready to plunge ahead into book two of the Percy Jackson series: The Sea of Monsters! Thank you to those of you who’ve told me how much you liked my posts on TLT. I can’t wait to start in on this one! [Read more…]
